Holualoa Companies El Tour de Mesa

Saturday April 1, 2017 will bring the 27th edition of the Valley’s premier Perimeter Bicycling event – Holualoa Companies El Tour de Mesa! Open to cyclists of all ages and abilities, there is a ride distance for everyone and opportunities to earn gifts, prizes and awards.  The event was the week after Easter.

El Tour benefits ALS, MARC Resources, MS Society AZ Chapter, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, The Winded Foundation, and  Uphill Into the Wind.  Your registration through Perimeter Bicycling benefits these great charities and there are special programs that you can elect to be a part of – check them out HERE.

The long “main event” distance – CHANGED THIS YEAR!: 100K
Start Time: 6:15 am

The 2016 route follows a scenic course with the beautiful and rugged backdrop of the Salt River Recreation Area and Tonto National Forest , circumnavigating the East Valley’s most recognizable landmark, Red Mountain. The Start/Finish Line is in downtown Mesa, AZ on Center Street just north of 2nd Street.  Click here for 2016 Map.  The map is NOT the correct full route for this (2017) year but is very close to the correct route.

The short “main event” distance: 28 miles.
Start time: 8:15 am

The distance features a remote start at Red Mountain Ranch Elementary School: 6650 Raftriver in Mesa, close to Thomas and Bush Hwy. It will finish in downtown Mesa, AZ with the other events. We expect to have a shuttle from the finish line back to the school if you’ve not made other arrangements.  More info will be announced at Expo/Packet pickup.

The FUN RIDES: 11 miles and 6 miles.
Start time: 11:00 am

Starting and finishing in downtown Mesa, where the “big ride” starts, these short, easy events are ideal for the new or inexperienced cyclists or those who just want to be part of the fun. The 11 and 6-milers features an easy course for adults and kids of all ages.  Check out the Fun Ride link for updates.
